Message From Our Principal

Mrs Jackie Stockdale

Over the past two weeks, our school has been buzzing with activity and excitement! We came together as a community to celebrate St Patrick’s Day with a beautiful Mass, and fun-filled festivities that brought joy to students and staff alike. Our Catholic Identity Leaders and Sport Leaders played a key role over the last fortnight, in organising meaningful activities that enriched our school. Meanwhile, our students demonstrated focus and resilience as they participated in NAPLAN, showcasing their learning and growth. Alongside these special events, our classrooms have been filled with engaging lessons, hands-on activities, and plenty of learning. It has been a fantastic fortnight of faith, learning, and community spirit!

This year, we have embraced a new approach to teaching and learning through Magnify, which has brought exciting changes to our classrooms. As a result, Term 1 learning goals were not formally established with students as we focused on implementing this new method. However, as we move into Term 2, individual learning goals will be set early in the term and communicated with families by Week 3. We appreciate your patience and look forward to working together to support each student’s growth and success.

I am incredibly proud of our students for their positive attitude and approach to NAPLAN. As a nationwide assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9, NAPLAN measures essential literacy and numeracy skills, providing valuable insights into their learning progress. Our students tackled each assessment with determination, resilience, and a growth mindset, demonstrating their commitment to doing their best. It was wonderful to see them embrace the challenge with confidence, staying focused and giving their full effort. Regardless of the results, their hard work and perseverance are what truly matter, and we couldn’t be prouder of the way they supported one another throughout the process. Well done to all our students!

Our St Patrick’s Day celebrations were filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit! Students and staff embraced the day by wearing green, creating a sea of festive colour across the school. The excitement continued with a lively fashion parade, where creativity was on full display, followed by an impromptu sing-off that had everyone joining in the fun. We were lucky to have the senior students from St Augustine’s lead us through engaging multi-age sports rotations, fostering teamwork and connection. The celebrations were topped off with a delicious sausage sizzle and the perfect sweet treat—green cupcakes! It was a fantastic day of joy, school spirit, and making wonderful memories together.

iIt was lovely to hear an original irish accent at the bbq this year- Huxi's Dad!!! Thanks Liam!!

We are excited to offer Mini Paddy’s playgroup every Tuesday morning at 9 am with Abby! With her wealth of experience in early education, Abby creates a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment where young children can play, explore, and connect. This is a wonderful opportunity for families in our community and beyond to come together, build friendships, and enjoy fun learning experiences. Everyone is welcome, so please spread the word and join us for a fantastic morning of play and connection!

Don't forget our major fundraiser for this term- our Easter Raffle:

The money raised will go towards a mobile shade shelter.

On Monday afternoon, we held our very first school choir practice, and it was a fantastic start! Students came together with enthusiasm, excitement, and a love for singing, filling the room with energy and beautiful voices. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they learned new songs and worked together as a team. This is just the beginning of what promises to be a great musical journey, and we can’t wait to hear their voices shine throughout the year!

Bike shorts are not part of the official St Patrick's School uniform. Students are expected to wear the designated school uniform as outlined in the 2025 Information booklet and on our school website. This ensures consistency, maintains a sense of pride, and reflects the school’s values. We ask that all students adhere to the uniform guidelines and wear the correct attire each day.
