Year 4 Highlight

During our DBL unit this term, Year 4 students have delved into the fascinating world of democracy, learning how it functions and how everyone has the opportunity to voice their opinions. As part of their studies, students embarked on a research project where they formed groups and created their own political parties to bring something new to the Mernda community. Each group developed a unique platform, campaigned for their ideas, and experienced the democratic process firsthand. This project not only deepened their understanding of political systems but also fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and public speaking skills. We are proud of their hard work and the insightful discussions that emerged from this engaging unit.
