Principal Message

Dear Families,

Friday end of term finish at 2.30pm – No Assembly

Congratulations: Semester One nearly done! Thank you to all of the staff who have worked so hard this semester in their classrooms, teams, and contributing across the school. To the families who have also worked hard on routines and supporting the school, we give our sincere thanks. And most importantly, a huge thanks to the wonderful students of OGPS! You have earnt these holidays with wonderful work, amazing learning and we all look forward to watching you continue to grow next semester. Enjoy the holidays.

Reports: Mr Horbury and Ms Chadwick have led the reporting period again and have kept us all on track as a team! Thanks Jess and Damien! Student reports will be available this afternoon in Sentral. With the conversations already being held with class teachers and families, there should be no surprises when you read the report. Thanks to staff for your work in summarising a terrific semester of learning.

Camp: Year 4 campers headed off today to Cave Hill Creek. What a great way to end the term and also for Ms Lauren Baker to finish her teaching career! We hope all students enjoy the challenges on camp and we sincerely wish Mrs Baker a great final week at OGPS!

Policies: Just a reminder that OGPS and the Department of Education have a wide range of policies. We have them located on our website Ocean Grove Primary School - Policies (ogps.vic.edu.au) and review them accordingly. As always, if you see something that is missing or needs an amendment, let us know!

Thanks: Erica Rockliff, one of our amazing Education Support Officers - or as we call them – Learning Mentors is heading back to WA for a while. We wish her a safe trip and look forward to her return. Erica has been with us for nearly 12 months now and is a highly valued staff member with a great sense of humour. She has supported some of our students in various classrooms as well as staff. Safe trip back and see you soon!

Have a great mid-year break everyone and we will see you all on Monday 15th July.
