EMPOWERMENT  |  WELLBEING  |  AFFIRMATION

Last Wednesday, our staff participated in a workshop to further develop our knowledge and understanding of social and emotional learning.

This was delivered by our Whole-School Wellbeing Consultant from the Association of Independent Schools NSW (AIS) Sam Kourakis.

We reflected on the five core social and emotional areas of competence that are integral to our students’ educational and relational development. These five competencies have emerged from many years of research and have been embedded within our teaching and learning curriculums. Our staff reflected on the 'interrelatedness' of each key area and discussed how we teach, model and support these foundational skills, abilities and attitudes when we interact with our students and each other.
