From the Acting Assistant Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am excited to share some updates about our Year 10-12 students.
Firstly, our students have successfully completed their semester exams. Their hard work and dedication have truly paid off, and we are very proud of their achievements.
Recently, many of our students participated in the General Achievement Test (GAT). Their behaviour was exemplary. I would also like to extend a special thank you to our Year 1 IB students led by Luke Dellorso. They organised a BBQ for everyone during the GAT break as part of their CAS project. This thoughtful gesture brought joy and support to their peers and highlighted the strong sense of community among our IB students.
Our Year 10 students recently visited Swinburne University, where they explored various career pathways in fields such as astronomy, architecture, and health sciences. During this visit, our Year 10s participated in a workshop reflecting on the results of the Pivot Wellbeing Survey as well as looking at the upcoming course counselling process. They represented our school with pride, demonstrating our DARE values throughout the visit.
Looking ahead, we will soon be releasing subject recommendation letters for Year 9 and 10 students. These recommendations are based on their learning behaviour, academic performance, and attendance. This marks the beginning of our course counselling process, which will help guide students in making informed decisions about their future studies. In the first week of Term 3 we will have our Senior School Expo to help support students in choosing their subject preferences. Check Compass for more information when it is released.
