Boarding

Mr Rob Bell and Mrs Deb Orrock

As Term 2 unfolds, our Year 7 boarders at Kinross Wolaroi School have fully immersed themselves in the heart of our community. This period of settling in has showcased their remarkable adaptability and eagerness to embrace all aspects of school life. Their seamless integration into the routines and traditions of the School is a testament to their resilience and the supportive environment fostered by our dedicated staff.

The long-awaited participation in interschool sports this term has been a particular highlight for the Year 7 boarders. Their enthusiasm and commitment to representing Kinross Wolaroi in various sports have been impressive, underscoring their integration into the wider school community.

This term, we have also had the pleasure of hosting a trivia night for Trathen and Stuart Douglas Houses. This gathering was a highlight, bringing together Year 7 boys and girls for an evening filled with knowledge, laughter and team building.

Furthermore, all boarding students were given the chance to engage in the Red Shield Appeal last Sunday, demonstrating their deepening commitment to community service. The boarders' spirited efforts in raising funds for the Salvation Army underscored their evolution into conscientious and compassionate individuals. Additionally, this event also, and importantly, allowed our senior boarders the chance to mentor the younger ones, fostering valuable leadership experiences and strengthening bonds across different year levels.

We are immensely proud of the progress and integration of our Year 7 boarders. Watching them embrace and enhance the spirit of our School is truly rewarding. We look forward to supporting their continued growth and seeing them flourish in the many opportunities that lie ahead.
