Last weekend the under 12 girls' netball team took on a Hawks team. It was a slow, cold first quarter getting warmed up and unfortunately we lost one of our key defenders to an injury. The team was warmed up and had a strong second quarter, catching up. Into the third quarter it was getting tight, both teams shooting great and defending well. Miss Boland gave the team a pep talk before the fourth quarter, our toughest quarter of the game. Sadly, we didn’t win but had lots of fun and the girls played a great game. Well done girls.

On Tuesday 21 May our KWS Junior School Cross Country team of 40 students travelled to Scots All Saints to compete in the HICES cross country competition. The weather was on our side with the sun producing a beautiful warm sunny day! Our 8/9 years and 10 years divisions ran a challenging 2km race, while our 11 years and 12 years competitors pushed themselves along the 3km course. The course itself was quite challenging, with a range of terrains and hills to test the runners. On the day, our athletes produced some amazing results with 6 of our students progressing through to compete in the CIS team running at Eastern Creek on 6 June 2024. We wish to congratulate all the competitors and we wish the following students all the best for the CIS team.
HICES top 10 results

Lachlan Elder - 8/9years girls - 10th place
Kimberley Williams - 10 years girls - 4th place

Every Monday, the Quantum Quakes, Eclipse Eagles, and Vortex Vipers unite for a thrilling mix of targeted skills and drills. Our junior squad, consisting of players in Years 3 - 5, rotates through four exciting stations focusing on dribbling, defending, shooting, and agility/fitness, all under the guidance of our stellar coaching staff. Each week, the groups are randomly shuffled, keeping the energy fresh and fun.
We kick off the week with 'Club Conversation,' an energised session where our junior teams give social shout-outs to celebrate the triumphs of their teammates, their own efforts, or even applaud the opposition.
These Monday moments will continue throughout the 2024 season, providing a platform to celebrate success and effort. Players are encouraged to share their standout highlights—from big wins to personal milestones—while the junior squad and coaches cheer them on. This 2024 tradition not only sets an uplifting tone for our sessions but also fuels the momentum for our season.
All Junior School Soccer Players should be proud of their achievements to date, whether that’s scoring your first goal for the club, winning a double-header game on Saturday, or enjoying a chocolate milkshake post-match with a teammate and new-found friend.
We look forward to many Monday moments ahead.

On Tuesday 23 May the Kinross Wolaroi Hockey students attended the June Graham Cup in Orange. There were 20 teams from schools around Orange, Cudal, Nashdale, Cumnock and Manildra.
Kinross Wolaroi had three teams playing throughout the day – learning and refining their skills, game sense, teamwork and they all had so much fun!
It was a wonderful experience to get involved with the community, meet new people and enjoy a day in the sun!
