Term 2 in Review

The Foundation students finished this term creating a sculpture that would hopefully be able to survive being outside in the school vegetable garden. Below are some photos of what the vege garden is looking like at the moment.

During the term the Year 1/2 students created a tower made out of uncooked spaghetti and some marshmallows. We made this a competition out of all of the grade 1/2 classes. The winners had a tower 45cm tall and it was built by Cooper, Briella and Tristan from M1.

The Year 3/4s had a scenario where they worked in groups to design a package to transport an egg safely. They began with $50 and had to buy the materials for their package. To test it they dropped the package with an egg in it from 3 different heights. If their egg survived the drop they got a bonus. This became a competition and the group with the most money was the winner. So I would like to announce the winners from B3 - Phoenix, Summer and Ivy who ended up with $61.

The Year 5/6 students created experiments to demonstrate physical and chemical change. They came up with a large range of experiments from trying out mentos and coke, elephant toothpaste, bouncing egg, experiments with bicarb soda, skittles, enlarging gummy bears, ooblek and many more.
