Years 5 & 6

Oral Presentations 

Students completed their oral presentations on different issues they are passionate about trying to convince their peers to agree with their opinions. 

It was really great to see some students with increased confidence and presentation skills including voice projection and non-verbal language use such as eye contact. Students worked as a team helping and supporting each other during their presentations. 

Reading Fluency and Comprehension - Daintree Rainforest 

Students completed their fluency reading and answered some comprehension questions for their passages. Out passage for fluency was on rainforests and in particular the last one was about Daintree Rainforest. 

Maths - Multiplying and Subtracting Fractions

Students completed the unit on fractions by learning about ordering, converting into decimals and percentages as well as multiplying, adding and subtracting them.
