English has been buzzing this term! The students have been unlocking their inherent creativity to design solutions for real-world problems. The aim is to create students that make, care, adapt, and spark. What does it mean? They will not only create new things, but also add value to the world and make a positive impact on the world. They are encouraged to use their passions to develop solutions to problems in the world, while also building their ability to navigate the uncertainties we face with confidence.

How can we keep the fire burning if we do not build empathy and work towards understanding each other?

The Year 7’s are working on a plan to show newcomers what it means to be Australian, while the Year 8’s are working hard to solve some ethical problems we face here in Australia. We created learning experiences that focuses on and develops long-term thinking. How can we work together to make the world a better place?

The Year 9’s are creating something to show how we can make Australia better by caring for country. The Year 10’s learned about resilience from a range of Indigenous Australians and used this knowledge to create a motivational experience for the seniors to encourage them before their exams.

Come and watch their amazing products on Wednesday 26 June at 5.00pm, while grabbing a sausage sizzle for dinner.
