Term 2 - Week 7

Welcome to Week 7,

Currently myself, Renee Dunst and Katie Daley are welcoming our 2025 Kindergarten students and their parents to St Nicholas School through enrolment meetings and tours. This process is a fantastic opportunity to commence our professional partnership with our parents, introduce our parents to our learning, faith and wellbeing culture and start the transition process for their child.

It is always a pleasure to meet with such eager and engaged families who are committed to providing their child with a quality education. These meetings once again remind me of how fortunate we are as educators, though also the responsibility we have to the child and society as a whole.

On a personal note, this weekend I am off to Sydney for my 30 year school reunion. 30 years since leaving school makes me feel incredibly old, though the excitement and anticipation for the weekend reminds me of the joy and lifelong connections developed at school.

It is also an opportunity to stop and acknowledge the role my parents have played in setting me up for success by valuing the importance of education.
