Reconciliation Carnival

On Tuesday 28 May, we sent a small team of Year 11 & 12 girls to play netball at the annual Reconciliation Carnival at Worawa College. It was a perfect day for the carnival, the sun was shining, the girls were treated to a free BBQ and there was even a DJ playing hits across the day.

The girls worked brilliantly as a team with pinpoint passes, amazing intercepts, and some great goals. They showed great teamwork and spirit, continuously encouraging each other during the game and at the breaks.

They won their first two games easily nine goals to one and were looking red hot for making finals for the day. Unfortunately, they were overrun in the third round by an unexpected entry of an all-boys team. The girls didn’t let this get to them and fought hard, staying level for the first half, but couldn’t get over the line in the end losing 7-3.

Well done for representing Healesville in such a respectful and gracious manner. We’re looking forward to taking you again next year for another crack!
