A team of eight Year 5/6 students represented Brooklyn Park in the da Vinci Decathlon, an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of students across a wide range of disciplines. Teams compete across ten areas, including engineering, mathematics and chess, code breaking, art and poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography, and legacy.
Our students performed exceptionally well, demonstrating teamwork, perseverance, and a willingness to take on complex challenges. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the way they represented our school.

On Tuesday, 26th and Wednesday, 27th May, a team of Year 5/6s and Year 7s participated in the da Vinci Decathlon (an academic gala), in which they competed with other South Australian schools across 10 disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics, Code Breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography and Legacy.
The Decathlon is designed to celebrate the academic gifts of Australian youth by providing a stimulating, challenging competition run in the spirit of the Olympic Decathlon.
With 25 teams in both divisions, both teams did an exceptional job: the Year 5/6 team placed 3rd in Legacy, while the Year 7 won the "Tidiest Table Award."
An outstanding effort from both teams!
