Principal's Message

A Message from the Principal

Together We Learn, Together We Flourish

Dear Parents,

This week, our staff had the opportunity to participate in a Spirituality Day centred on the theme, ‘Deepening our Identity: Living our Mission’ It was a valuable opportunity for staff to pause, reflect and reconnect with the heart of who we are as a community.

Throughout the day, staff spent time exploring the Josephite and Marist charisms that continue to shape life at St Margaret Mary’s. Through prayer, reflection, conversation and shared experiences, staff considered how we continue to live out our mission each day through presence, service, courage, humility and care for one another.

Thank you to the parents who have responded to the upcoming CAFE meeting. We warmly invite all parents on Tuesday 26 May 2026, where we will be joined by special guest speaker Dr Amanda Mullin from Mindworx.

Dr Mullin is a highly regarded psychologist with extensive experience working with children, families and schools. Through her work, she has supported many communities in navigating the complexities of modern childhood, particularly in the areas of emotional wellbeing, resilience and behaviour. Her practical and relatable approach makes her sessions both engaging and highly valuable for parents.

Dr Mullin will be presenting on “Understanding Children in the Current Landscape”, with a particular focus on supporting parents to build resilience in children. In a world that continues to change rapidly, this session will offer practical insights and strategies to help support children’s wellbeing, confidence and ability to navigate challenges.

To ensure as many families as possible can attend, three session times will be offered on Tuesday 26 May:

          9:00am  – following morning assembly

          2:00pm  – prior to afternoon pick-up

          7:00pm  – evening session

We strongly encourage all parents to take advantage of one of these opportunities. The partnership between home and school is vital in supporting our children and opportunities to work together in a meaningful and informed way are incredibly valuable.

Thank you to the many parents who have already RSVP’d to attend one of the sessions. Your willingness to engage, learn and partner with us in supporting your children is deeply appreciated. We also sincerely thank all families for your continued support of StMM’s and for the important role you play in helping us create a strong, connected and flourishing community.

We look forward to welcoming parents and continuing to strengthen our shared commitment to the wellbeing and growth of every child.

Kind regards,

Grace
