Visual Art Show

On Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October, Good Shepherd proudly hosted its very first Art Show, transforming our school into a vibrant gallery celebrating the creativity, imagination and artistic talents of our students from Prep to Year 6.

Centred around the theme of Habitat, the exhibition showcased an inspiring collection of artworks created by every student under the guidance of our wonderful Visual Arts teachers, Cara Decru and Karen Ervin. From colourful animal illustrations and intricate clay sculptures to detailed observational and perspective drawings, the exhibition highlighted the many ways our students explored the natural world through art.

It was wonderful to see so many families visit the exhibition, admire the students’ work and celebrate their achievements. We are incredibly proud of the effort, curiosity and creativity demonstrated by our young artists, and we thank Cara and Karen for their dedication in bringing this special event to life.

As part of the exhibition, each class also created a beautiful framed collaborative artwork, resulting in 20 unique pieces available to win through our raffle. Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets and supported this initiative. The lucky winners will be contacted next week.

We would also like to congratulate the students who received an Art Teacher Award or Principal Award in recognition of their outstanding artworks. These awards celebrate the students’ creativity, skill, attention to detail and artistic expression.
