Calcio Interscolastico

Last Friday we had soccer interschool sports at Gillon Oval. We had all been very excited to be participating in this fun event.  When we got there we started to practise passing and shooting, and by then we were on the pitch ready for the challenge!

We tried our hardest and made it to semi finals, and we had so much fun working together as a team!

District Cross Country

On Thursday 21st May, 60 Brunswick South Primary School students proudly represented our school at the District Cross Country Championships. In what was a very muddy and challenging course, students showed tremendous determination, resilience, and effort from start to finish.

One of the highlights of the day was the way students supported and encouraged one another. The cheers from our team could be heard right around the course, with students celebrating each other's efforts and achievements regardless of where they finished.

A special congratulations to the 10 students who qualified for the Divisional Cross Country Championships. This is a fantastic achievement and a reward for their hard work and commitment.

We are incredibly proud of the way all students represented BSPS, displaying excellent sportspersonship, encouragement, and a willingness to give their best in difficult conditions.

School Athletics Carnival coming soon!

We are excited for our upcoming School Athletics Carnival on 25th June at the Coburg Athletics Track, where students in Grades 3–6 will have the opportunity to participate in a range of track and field events. Our junior school athletes will have their own fun day of athletics-themed games back at school.

The day is designed to encourage participation, effort, and personal bests, while also providing students with the chance to showcase the skills they have been developing during PE lessons.

Families can help students prepare by encouraging regular physical activity at home. Simple activities such as walking, jogging, bike riding, practising throwing and jumping skills, or even spending time playing outdoors can help build confidence and fitness leading into the event. Most importantly, encourage students to focus on giving their best effort, having a positive attitude, and enjoying the experience.

Keep an eye out for further information and event details as the Athletics Carnival approaches.
