GARDENING CLUB

Last week we were very fortunate to receive some plants, courtesy of Bunnings in Box Hill. They were incredibly generous in their donation of a banana passionfruit, a raspberry plant, blueberry plant, a lemon tree compost and a rail for the passionfruit to grow and cling to. We also got some new hats to wear. The children spent time in the garden this week clearing out the garden beds and planting the new additions. They continue to love being in the garden, finding worms and wildlife, clearing the beds and propagating fruit and vegetables. We are enjoying a bumper crop of small bell peppers at the moment and you are welcome to pick some up from the office for free. They are sweet and delicious. We are extremely grateful to Lee for clearing around the garden beds for us, after winter and rain helped the weeds grow so well! Please join us in the garden any day to clear weeds or help, or on Wednesdays from 11-11:50am with the children, when the Garden club is on.
