Dear Parents,

Yes, it is the event you have all been waiting for…………..

The Annual Book Week Parade is coming soon.

The theme this year is …Read …Grow...Inspire

On Monday 21st August we will hold our parade at 9:05 in the quadrangle

Your child should come to school dressed like a character from a book they have read. If you have the book available at home they could also bring it along.

It is not meant to cause an enormous amount of stress in your household. There are many characters in books that wear ordinary clothes and your child could create a poster to go with it, if that makes life easier for your family. Ideas for dress up have also been discussed as part of Library sessions.

I do understand that some storybook characters have guns and swords but in order to make it a safe event for all, please only bring props that will cause no damage.

After the parade we will ask the students to change into comfortable clothing for the rest of the day.
