Principal recruitment update
Again, a thank you to the entire school community during this time for your patience. Applications closed last week and the next stage of the recruitment process is underway.
Working bee - thank you
A massive thank you to all the families that attended our ‘’mini’ working bee (which ended up being one of our most successful yet!)
It was lovely to see new faces, and also spend time with those who are regular attendees.
The amount of work completed was phenomenal and included: - Cutting back the bushes on Hardy Crescent - Mulching the native garden bed near from Frog Bog (thanks to Maroondah Council for the mulch organised by Tanya Haynes-Ford) - Weeding and preparing the veggie beds ready for the Preps to plant- Tidying up with the leaf blower- Unblocking and digging out drains including the one that runs along the entire back fence.
Our next working bee will be held in early Term 3 – watch this space for the date. Working bees are a fantastic way to contribute to the school and meet new people. It is fantastic to see the students taking responsibility for various jobs and using their never-ending energy to make a massive contribution.
Voluntary parent payment reminder
A gentle reminder to any families that have not made their voluntary parent payments – it’s not too late to do so!!
Within our school these voluntary contributions have allowed us to organise and coordinate the best possible programs outside of the traditional teaching and learning classroom structure.
These financial contributions assist us with the purchasing of art, science and physical education equipment and resources, to purchase robotics resources such as the BeeBots and Spheros and invest in decodable books that support our whole school Science of Reading literacy approach.
