In Writing this week, we are  learning to create explanation texts.

VOCABULARY

Explanation Text: Explanation texts are pieces of writing that explain something. They might tell you how or why something happens, or give information on how to do something.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child, have a discussion about how a product works at home, example, a tv remote, an electrical device, a car, bike etc. 

Using the structure included, have your child also brainstorm other topics that involve how something works. With this, guide your child in detailing the steps; along with creating a description.
