NAPLAN:  Supporting Student Learning and Growth

Over the past few weeks, our students have been diligently completing the NAPLAN assessments. NAPLAN (National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy) is an important nationwide program that measures fundamental skills in reading, writing, language conventions, and numeracy for students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9.

NAPLAN provides valuable information about how students are progressing in key areas of learning. For our school, it helps highlight strengths as well as areas where students may need extra support. Teachers use these results to inform classroom practice and to develop targeted learning plans that ensure every student can reach their full potential.

NAPLAN is not about preparing for the test, but about understanding each child’s learning journey, celebrating achievements, and working together to improve outcomes. The results also contribute to building an accurate picture of our school’s performance, allowing us to better support both individual and whole-school growth.

We are proud of our students for their dedication and resilience during the testing period. Thank you to our teachers and families for providing support and encouragement. If you have questions about NAPLAN or your child’s progress, please contact the school office.
