ACS Swimming Carnival 2026

On Thursday 12th February 2026, ACS students attended the Ardlethan Central School Swimming Carnival.

All students who swam competed to the best of their ability and showed great sportsmanship. We saw good displays of team spirit and some students competed in every event possible. Infants enjoyed the novelty events in the little pool and showed their swimming skills in the infants 25m races. Primary and Secondary students also enjoyed the novelty races and the Student vs Teacher vs Parent race and relay.

Well done to everyone who participated and scored house and individual points.

A huge thank you to:

  • all students who competed on the day;
  • the ACS staff helping before, during and after the carnival;
  • Mark Osborne for cooking the BBQ;
  • Donna and Paul Horan for hosting us at the pool;
  • parents and community members for supporting our students and those swimming in the races; and
  • the wonderful volunteers who helped with timekeeping.

Without everyone who helped, our carnival would not run smoothly.

RAP Open Boys Basketball

On Wednesday 4th March 2026, Damon, Callum, and Ryan represented RAP at the Open Boys Basketball Gala Day.

Mr Tom Huggett from Hillston Central School was the coach.

The boys played three games across the day and played really well in all three.

They fell just short on their first two games against Wade HS (Eventual Champions) and Leeton HS. But they got a three point win against Yanco Ag in their last game of the day.

Thank you to the parents for transporting our students to the Open Boys Basketball Tournament in Griffith. It's no easy feat with such long drives but the opportunity available for these kids is so great for them to have.

RAP Touch Football

The Riverina Access Partnership was represented at the Touch Football Carnival in Wagga Wagga on Thursday 12th March with both an Open Boys' and Open Girls' Team.   Both teams played four tough games against opponents from all over the Riverina, giving them the opportunity to develop skills in various aspects of the game.

It was great to see the teamwork, support and resilience on display throughout the day from both teams. It looks promising for the future, with young teams that are set to improve in the years ahead.

Thank you to the parents, carers and staff that provided transport and support for the teams on the day. Also thank you to Ms Caroline Stewart (APCS) for coaching the Opens Girls' Team and refereeing multiple games.
