Years F&1

This week students worked with their lovely families to help them write adjectives to describe an emu. Students wrote a story where we focused on writing each section at a time to ensure we included a problem and solution. In the end, students had a go at editing their work by reading it out loud and then reading it to a buddy. It was a fun process to watch.

Here are some pictures from art of students painting and decorating their pots for Mother's Day, I hope Mums enjoyed their gifts and had a wonderful day.

In humanities, we looked at Aboriginal dot paints and how they can tell a story. We drew a picture of a turtle and had a go at doing dot paintings. We started by picking a colour that they first used on the outline and they worked around placing dots, then changed to the next colour. The students did a great job and had some fun.
