Year 2 Music

The Year 2 students have been having fun learning about writing notes on the staff. One lesson, they made shapes with their bodies for the music note letters. We hope this will help students remember that the music alphabet stops at G, and then repeats. 

Year 3 Music

The Year 3 students have been looking at different styles of music through play-along and dancing. For example, they did a dance to Jailhouse Rock for Rock n Roll, and copied disco moves for the 70’s. 

Year 4 Music

It’s always great when students share their own knowledge in music. In one lesson, Zac, in 4B, demonstrated some drumbeats – even though it was on only 3 different drum bits! Year 4 have been playing along to different songs each week – looking at how they are organised and working together to make it sound fun.
