For any families looking for something to do on the school holidays, there are some exciting things happening in the art world in Victoria. 

Yayoi Kusama and Brolga, two of the famous artists that Year 5 students inquired into as part of their Contemporary Art study, currently have large-scale public art installations on display in Melbourne CBD and the Mornington Peninsula. 

Year 5 students were enamoured with the artworks of these art legends and were very interested in learning facts about the artists, such as the fact that Yayoi Kusama is currently 94 years old and still creating! 

For any families that do go to visit these displays, we would love it if you could send in any photos of students with the sculptures.
