As we continue our journey through Advent we are reminded of the four candles of the Advent wreath specifically symbolising the Christian concepts of hope, peace, joy and love. This Sunday we light the second candle of Peace. These candles are being lit subsequently throughout each week of the Advent season leading up to Christmas day, the birth of Christ.

Making a Scene at Christmas                                                                                                   Throughout last week children and staff from Sacred Heart were fortunate enough to be invited to view over 300 Nativity scenes on display at  the Uniting Hall in Colac. Special thanks to Fiona Tonkin and Kay Paton for giving our children such an amazing Christmas experience. The children took great interest in the telling of the Christmas story and having the opportunity to smell some frankincense and myrrh. 

Go gently as we all journey through a time in which we prepare and wait patiently for Christmas Day to arrive.
