Year 5 and 6 Swimming Lessons

A big thank you to the parents who volunteered to help with the walking for the Year 5 and 6 swimming program at Bluewater.

Year 6 students are walking as one whole group. They will leave school at 11:00am. 

 

The Year 5 students are going individually as classes. Each individual classes will leave 30 minutes before their swimming lesson. 

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH ORDERS FOR YEAR 5 THIS FRIDAY 8TH DECEMBER.

Year 5 RO swim time 1.00 pm – 1.30 pm

Year 5 JT swim time 1.30 pm – 2.00 pm

Year 5 JR swim time 2.00 pm – 2.30 pm

 

Swimming is part of the school curriculum, so it is important that all the students support this program. The dates for swimming are as follows:

Tuesday 5th December – 11:30am – 1:00pm

Wednesday 6th December - 11:30am – 1:00pm

Thursday 7th December - 11:30am – 1:00pm

Friday 8th December - 11:30am – 1:00pm

Sports Stars of the Week

 

Name: Olivia Horner (Yr 6LG)

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? My favourite sport is basketball because I enjoy defending.

2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was when we won the grand final in basketball.

3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? The strengths that make me a good athlete is my defending skills, especially in basketball.

4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it keeps me fit and is really fun to play, especially when I am with my friends.

5. Who is your favourite sports person? Myself Why are they your favourite? Because I am the coolest, most athletic person alive! 

6. What is your favourite sporting team? My most favourite team is any basketball team that I play in.

 

Name: Fred Melville (Yr 6LG)

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? Cricket is my favourite sport to play because it is fun and I like how interesting the game is.

2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was winning the basketball Grand Final and being presented with the MVP Award (Most Valuable Player).

3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? My strengths in sport is my leadership skills, my sportsmanship and my attitude.

4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I like playing with my friends.

5. Who is your favourite sports person? Dyson Daniels Why are they your favourite? Daniels is my favourite sports person because he is a great shooter for the New Orleans Pelicans basketball team.

6. What is your favourite sporting team? New Orleans Pelicans

 

Name: Alexis Perkins (5JR)

1. Which sport is your favourite to play and why? Basketball is my favourite sport because I am good at it.

2. What is your best sporting moment? My best sporting moment was when I watched a player from Melbourne United shot a half court shot.

3. Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a good athlete? My strengths in sport are my speed and I can jump high.

4. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun and I love playing with my friends.

5. Who is your favourite sports person? My favourite sports person is Rayjon Tucker from Melbourne United basketball team. Why are they your favourite? He is my favourite player because he is a great shooter.

6. What is your favourite sporting team? Melbourne United basketball team.
