From the Principal Class

Dear Viewbank College Community,

The last few weeks have been incredibly busy, with so many events and activities taking place as the 2023 school year is quickly coming to a close.

We have held awards ceremonies for our Year 10 & 11 students during this last week, recognising the achievement and effort of many students. I want to congratulate all students on their efforts during the year and for their positive approach and engagement in orientation week. The reports I have had from teachers indicate a strong desire from students for a fresh start and a big 2024!

We wish all our senior students a safe and happy holiday period. Don’t forget to complete your holiday homework!

For our Year 7-9 students, we have held many events including finals of public speaking, Holocaust excursions for Year 9 students, the Duke of Ed camp, the amazing Art and Technology show and of course, the completion of exams.  We also had some sporting teams through to State finals.

Coming events include:

·         Holocaust – ‘the light in the darkness’ community evening

·         Year 9 program week and final assembly

·         Middle School Production

·         2024 Year 7 orientation day

·         Year 8 camp

·         Year 7 Funfields excursion

·         Year 7 & 8 final assemblies

I want to thank our teachers, who continue to teach classes, mark exams and student work, write reports, plan for next year and engage in all of the activities and events right through to the final day. There is no down time for them, and I applaud their commitment.
