Assessments 2024

Individual Student Assessments

RE: Assessment 2024

To begin the 2024 year, the students will all take part in formal assessments which will inform teachers of the necessary information to support students in their learning. Staff will continue to monitor students as they always do to ensure that all students receive suitable learning programs throughout the year.

Assessment Dates

There will be two scheduled Assessment Days at the start of the year where the children will need to come into school only for their individual testing times.  The days are to assess the children in English and Mathematics to find their point of need which will inform the teachers of the necessary information to support students in their learning. Staff will continue to monitor students as they always do to ensure that all students receive suitable, targeted learning programs throughout the year.

The Assessment dates are:

Tuesday 30 January - Preps to Year 6

Wednesday 31 January - Preps to Year 4

Years 5 & 6 will start school on Wednesday 31 January

Parents will receive an invitation to select a time so that they can bring their child to school for approximately 60 minutes.  This allows the classroom teachers to carry out the necessary tests. These two days allow for minimal disruption to the learning scheduled.

All Preps - Year 4 children will then start school on Thursday 1 February 2024 for full time days.
