Joseph Thang 2A

Aussie of the Month Joseph Thang

Congratulations to Joseph Thang who is our 2023 Year 2, Aussie of the Month!

Aussie of the Month is awarded to a student each month that demonstrates the qualities of fairness, mateship, respect and inclusion.

Joseph is “an unbelievably kind and helpful student, who always models our school values no matter the time or place, and who brightens our classroom with his infectious smile and his desire to learn,” say his classroom teachers Mrs Nicholls, Mrs Moon and Toni.

At GRPS we believe it is important to acknowledge students that are actively contributing to our community in a positive way and are consistently

demonstrating our school values of respect, responsibility and a learner.

A little bit about our AUSSIE Joseph

Who is your inspiration?

Joseph: I love my teachers because they always teach

us new stuff and they teach us how to be kind and how to be safe!

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Joseph: I want to be an astronaut or a firefighter because I want to save people’s lives when their houses are on fire.

What is your favourite subject to learn about?

Joseph: I like learning Maths because Maths is about everything, and I really enjoy learning things like addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, square roots and I also do Maths problems at home!

If someone is ever mean on purpose to you, what is your quick comeback?

Joseph: It’s not nice being mean because you won’t have

any friends. So be kind and then you will make friends easily.

What would you do in playground if you saw someone upset?

Joseph: I would help them out and I would ask them what happened. If they needed a teacher, I would call one. If they only needed a friend, I would help them feel better so they could continue playing.
