Endeavour House News

Wow...what a year it's been at Endeavour House! Looking back, I think we have all grown and changed so much. There have been some ups and downs, but we made it with flying colours!

Celebration

The last few weeks of the year have been a time of celebration for the house. I think you’ll be able to see in the photos, there has been a lot of joy and laughter had by all. I sincerely wish all students and families a safe and happy holiday, a time to reconnect with loved ones and to have a break from school and boarding routines!

Transition

Initially, I thought transition would just involve simply moving the Year Nine students up to Breaksea House, little did I appreciate that the whole house would go through transition, in some form. The house was changed the moment the Nines left, and I don’t think I was ready for it! I instantly missed them so much and kept looking out for them in the Dining Hall, so I could bump into them and have chats. As expected, they are all going great and 100% ready to take on the challenge of being in the ‘big house’.  The Years Sevens and Eights have also transitioned, ready to step up to year Eight and Nine respectively. We have new students arriving for 2024 and I thank our current students in advance, for showing kindness and friendship towards those new students, when we arrive back.

Birthdays

Best wishes to our last two birthday girls for the year.  Caitlin Hooper in November and Jessica Harries in December.

Thank You

To the girls! Matilda Chitty, Poppy Ford, Jessica Harries, Lexie Kershaw, Alira Savage, Stella Altham, Grace Bailey, Lucy Bailey, Azriel Bin Omar, Katelyn Ferry, Anne Fitz Gibbon, Lily Hall, Caitlin Hooper, Fenella O'Neill, Mackirra Williams, Esther Barrett-Lennard, Madison Beeck, McKayla Ettridge, Matilda Norrish, Camdyn Tapscott and Katelin Woithe for being amazing, doing your best, challenging us and making us laugh every single day.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with the following supervising staff this year; Mrs Amber Freeman, Miss Mia Collins, Miss Grace Larham and Ms Caitlin Griffiths. Other contributors throughout the year have included Miss Sienna Ball, Miss Zoe Kerr, Ms Carter Wight and Miss Kasey Warren. These women have all cared for the girls in their own individual way and have remained steadfast to their duty of care responsibilities.

A special thank you and farewell to two very special people; Miss May Botha and Miss Tiffany Kok, who have been our international gap students this year and have made a massive contribution to our house, not only for prep, but also rec and other activities around Boarding. All the very best to these wonderful young people on their continued journeys.

To Endeavour families for their ongoing support and communication throughout the year, I trust you are so proud of your girls and the amazing people they are.

The GSG Executive, Pastoral and Academic team, especially Mr Mark Sawle, Mrs Emma Franklin and Mrs Victoria Turnor.

Finally, thank you to Mr Ashley Keatch, Mrs Teliah Turrill, Mr Taylor Colton, Mrs Dianne Franzinelli, Ms Rebecca Davies and Mrs Liz Cosh who have been a constant source of support and encouragement this year and I thank them very much.
