Advent

Advent begins on Sunday, December 1st this year, but today we had our first Advent Assembly which was led wonderfully by our Year 5/6 classes. Next week we will have our Family Advent Activity at 2pm followed by our second Advent assembly, which will be led by our Year 3/4 classes.

For those new to our school, we will gather with our siblings/cousins in a classroom to make something to take home and help us celebrate the season of Advent. For our Advent Family activity we will be making a family Advent Calendar that will have four parts to it (instead of 24) to correlate with each week of Advent. We will add some prayers, scriptural pieces and family goals for each week. Teachers will be able to provide coloured card, glue, prayers, scripture, goal sheets, pencils and scissors. If you would like, you are welcome to bring some of your own decorative items, such as glitter gel pens.

Sports Day

School sports day is a chance to show your strengths. It’s a day for celebration and achievement. It’s also a day to try your best, take on a new challenge or two and give it your best shot. We saw that last week. Well done everyone! Thank you to everyone involved in running a successful sports day, we had all seasons in one! The resilience of our students, staff and families got us through the day! Congratulations to Red House on taking home the shield!
