From the Principal

Principal: Mathew Montebello

Dear Families,

Can you believe that this time last year we were about to hold our 2023 Seaside Fair. It is amazing how quickly time flies by, and is a reminder for us all to embrace each and every moment.

This week we held our annual Willy Games. What a day it was for all our Willy Kids, as they ran, threw, jumped and cheered their way towards the house cup. It was great seeing the sea of colours representing each house.

A massive congratulations to all our Willy Kids and their efforts, and a big thank you to Paddy and the staff for the organisation of the day, many of whom were onsite extra early to help set up.

Digital Learning - Transition from Grade two - Three

Tomorrow, information will be communicated to families of grade two students around the digital device requirements for grade three. Please don’t hesitate to contact the school if you have any further questions regarding the school’s device program and its implementation within the classroom.

2025 Staffing and Transition

Every year brings change, especially for schools. In next week’s newsletter information regarding staffing movement will be communicated, with year level and specialist teams announced in week 9’s newsletter prior to step up day. As per last year families will receive correspondence regarding their child’s 2025 teacher on Monday 9th December, the day prior to step up day on Tuesday 10th December.

Students in year two and three, as well as four and five have been enjoying a range of activities together in preparation for 2025. While our year six students today enjoyed a day at Willy High in preparation for the statewide transition day on the 10th December.

Travel to and from School

The change in weather sees an increase of students walking, riding and scooting to school. Can we please ask families to have conversations at home about staying safe and giving way, especially when moving through the school gates with bikes and scooters. Keeping the school area a safe place for all is an essential part of the school environment.

Reminder

Families Relocating/Leaving

Term 4 is zooming past and this means plans for 2025 are well on the way. The end of year brings lots of changes and for some it is a geographical change. We are asking any families who will be moving on in 2025 who haven't already contacted the office to do so. This information will ensure the school has all the required information moving into next year.

Warm regards,

Mat
