Principal's Report
Dear Parents/Guardians and friends of Nazareth
I take this opportunity to thank all our families, students and staff for an outstanding 2024 school year.
It has been an extremely busy year with a College review, openings of new buildings and a collaborative effort to strive for improvement in learning and wellbeing. These focus areas will continue in 2025, and the College intends to ensure that all families know our expectations and goals for the coming year.
I thank our 2024 student captains and leaders for their outstanding work and leadership. Your efforts have brought about many positive changes for the benefit of all.
Our NCCA, Advisory and Finance Committee members have given so much time. The College would not be in such a favourable position without your dedication.
Our families have numerous financial commitments outside of school, and as we know, things are not easy with the rising living costs. Consequently, the Finance Committee and the College have again been able to keep fees the same for 2025 with no increase. Our fees have not been increased for the past five (5) years. We aim to continue to maintain our fees as is, but to do this, I urge all parents/guardians to meet their current obligations and ensure that if there is a problem, please get in touch with the Finance Team at the College immediately.
We will celebrate our student achievements in the coming week (5 December and 6 December). I invite all parents to attend and witness the outstanding efforts of our young people. Our founding Principal, Mr Paul D'Astoli, will attend both assemblies to present relevant awards.
ASSEMBLY – Thursday 5 December 9.00 am (Years 7 & 8)
ASSEMBLY – Friday 6 December 9.00 am (Years 9, 10 & 11)
WHOLE SCHOOL MASS – Friday 6 December 12.00 pm
In conclusion, I highlight our new artistic icon installed last Friday. It is a beautiful representation of the ‘Holy Family of Nazareth’. I thank Mr Bart Sanciolo (also on our school CRT register), the artist and designer of the new artwork. It represents who we are and what we, as a family of Nazareth, try to emulate for all of our Community. We hope the artwork will continue to ‘be our inspiration and our guide’.
Have a Holy, safe and joyful festive season. I look forward to your continued support in 2025.
Mr Sam Cosentino
Principal
