Principal's Report

D. Donatiello

End of Year Message

As the quote said in the Week 8 newsletter - "Time waits for no one". That is certainly true of 2024. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for the unwavering support and dedication of the whole school community.

This year has been filled with achievements, challenges, and growth. Together, we have fostered a nurturing environment where our students have thrived academically, socially, and emotionally. I am incredibly proud of our staff who have gone above and beyond to inspire and educate our students, adapting to new syllabuses and embracing innovation in our classrooms.

To our students, your hard work and resilience have been truly inspiring. Each of you has contributed to our school community in unique ways, and I am excited to see the paths you will take in the future. Remember, every step you take is a building block towards your dreams.

I also want to extend my gratitude to our parents and caregivers. Your partnership and involvement have been invaluable in supporting our school. Together, we have created a vibrant community that prioritises the well-being and success of our children.

The last fortnight has been particularly memorable with the drama production, Talent Quest, End of Year Presentation Assemblies, Year 6 Graduation and Farewell, Preschool celebration and Fun Day.

I want to make a special mention of Mrs McCammond, who is retiring after 37 years of teaching. We held an assembly today to celebrate and thank her for her wonderful contribution to education at St Johns Park PS. On behalf of our school, I want to thank Mrs McCammond for her unwavering commitment to the students, teachers and families of St Johns Park PS over the last 36 years. Her dedication to our school, regardless of her job description, has made such a huge impact on students and their families, as well as the many teachers and administrative staff. I want to thank her for all that she has done for the benefit of so many.  We are so sad that Mrs McCammond is leaving but her impact on so many cannot be measured. Best wishes in retirement.

As we look forward to the holiday season, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on the accomplishments of the year. We have laid a strong foundation, and I am eager to see what the next year holds for us.

Wishing you all a joyous holiday season and a wonderful New Year!

All attend or return to school on Thursday 6 February 2025.

Warm regards,

Mrs Donatiello
