Eco Warrior New

Eco Warriors have been extremely busy, working on projects like the fete, coaster making and lots more. We even made paper out of old paper! So, let’s get further into the details.

Coaster making

This project took tons of time and effort. It took us more than 2 terms. First we had to collect and donate some of our old clothes to be used. Then we’d cut them up and braid them. After that we would glue them down and let them dry. Then trim the edges and TADA- we had a coaster! Later we sold them at the twilight fete.

Recycled paper

When we made recycled paper it was really quite easy. We tore up old/scrap/used paper and added it with water. Then we would mush it together, make it into a square or rectangle and leave it to dry in the sunshine. This was also very successful as little present tags at the fete.

Next year goals

Next year in 2025 we want to get the 10 cent bottle collection up and running. Anyone with juice boxes or cans could donate them to the school and we would use the money to improve our school. Another goal is to get more people involved in Eco Warriors. The more the merrier!

Finally

This year has been so fun and exciting for everyone. We’ve achieved so many things and are looking forward to the year ahead of us. Thank you for being such a lovely community to be around in 2024!
