Inaugural Boys' Touch Football Team Finishes Runners-Up in Debut Season
In their debut season representing Clayfield College at the Arana Touch Football Association, the inaugural boys’ touch football team has made a statement, finishing runners-up in a competitive local competition that tested both skill and tenacity.
Despite an interrupted season marked by weather cancellations, the squad remained unwavering in their commitment to growth. Week after week, under the Wednesday night lights, they turned up with energy, focus, and a genuine love for the game. Their progress was evident with each outing improving structures, sharpening combinations, and building trust on and off the ball.
For many of the boys, it was their first competitive experience in touch football, yet they adapted quickly to the pace and tactical demands of the game. Their strong finish is a testament to their enthusiasm, and team-first mindset.
This is just the beginning for boys’ touch at Clayfield. With a solid foundation now in place, we look forward to expanding the program and seeing the boys take to the field again later this year faster, fitter, and even more fired up.
The future is bright, and so is the spirit that this team has ignited.
