Message from Principal

I hope everyone enjoyed a restful break and some quality time over the holidays and long weekend. We’re looking forward to a full and exciting term ahead.

ANZAC Day Commemorations

To commemorate the National Day of Remembrance, students and staff from our school took part in the ANZAC Day service at the Castlemaine RSL. It was wonderful to see our students and staff participating in the march and laying a wreath on behalf of the St Mary’s community.

Curriculum Day

On Tuesday, we held a whole-school Curriculum Day, during which staff focused on documentation in preparation for our upcoming school review. These reviews take place every four years and help shape the goals we work toward as part of our School Improvement Plan. Our review is scheduled for Term 3 this year, and we are underway in our preparations after our closure day.

Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) launch assembly

We are excited to launch our Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) framework with a special assembly on Monday 5th May at 9:00am in the school library. Families are warmly invited to attend. This assembly will include our first PBL lesson, providing a great opportunity for parents to see how lessons are taught, how students are acknowledged, and the expectations we are reinforcing across the school.

Mothers day breakfast

We warmly invite all mums and mother figures in our students’ lives to join us for a Mother’s Day Breakfast on Monday 12th May. We look forward to celebrating the important role you play in our school community.

Winter uniform

As the cooler weather sets in, students are expected to transition to their winter uniforms from Monday 5th May. Thank you for your support in ensuring all students are dressed appropriately for the season.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Regards,
