Student Achievement

On the 20th of March, Child Studies students had the unique opportunity to participate in an informative and hands-on midwife visit at the Rosary Centre. During this session, our students gained valuable insights into the stages of labor, pharmacological pain management strategies, and the birth facilities available at the local Tamworth Hospital.
The highlight of the visit was a practical, hands-on experience with a birthing mannequin, where students learned about the importance of medical professionals throughout the labor process. This immersive experience deepened their understanding of childbirth and the crucial role of midwives.
A special thank you goes to Renee, a highly skilled midwife, whose expertise and engaging teaching style made the session both informative and enjoyable. Renee’s interactive approach allowed our students to ask thoughtful questions and further expand their knowledge of childbirth and maternity care.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Renee for providing such a wonderful and educational session!
Some beautiful artwork completed by Choe Lin in year 7. Such talent and skill.
