Student Services: Careers

TERM 2
Welcome to term 2! We have already kicked off the term with Careers workshops for Year 12 students in Week 1 and our Year 8 cohort this week.
Year 12s Explore Goal Setting and Habits
Last week Tyson Day conducted a workshop with our Year 12 students around setting goals and reflecting on habits that will take them towards their goals. Students reflected on screen time and explored their relationship with different apps and procrastination habits. Tyson ties this in with career purpose and progression.
Year 8s Think about their skills
This week Tyson returned to work with Year 8s to better understand the skills and attributes they have under the surface, and why being curious is vital to developing a meaningful career. Students were strongly encouraged to ‘say YES’ to every opportunity and to stretch their comfort zone to grow and develop.
Year 10s – Reminder - Work Experience
Year 10 students are reminded to complete their work experience applications for 2025. All the information, dates and timelines are available on Teams (Files) and Compass (School Documentation).
There is a lot to look forward to next term – including career workshops for a number of year levels and the subject expo, as well as subject selection for 2026 commencing in June!!
