VCE Season of Excellence

Northcote High Students Shine in VCE Season of Excellence
We are proud to share that four of our 2024 Year 12 students have been selected for the prestigious VCE Season of Excellence – a celebration of outstanding student work from across the state. Their inclusion reflects not only individual talent and dedication but also the strength of Northcote High’s creative and academic programs.
Top Arts
Congratulations to Maya Shukri, whose work was selected for Top Arts, which showcases exceptional work by VCE Art, Media, and Studio Arts students. Her piece was displayed at the National Gallery of Victoria alongside work from the state’s most talented young artists, highlighting both technical skill and creative vision.
Top Designs
Noah Freeman was selected for Top Designs for his work in Visual Communication and Design. Exhibited at Melbourne Museum, this program celebrates innovation and problem-solving through design.
Top Scribes
We are also excited to celebrate two Northcote students who were chosen for Top Scribes, a new initiative in the Season of Excellence that highlights exemplary written work from the English and Literature studies. Both Scarlett Tremayne and James Tulk's writing were selected for publication, recognising their skill in crafting thoughtful, sophisticated, and engaging responses to complex ideas and texts. We look forward to celebrating their achievement in June
These achievements reflect countless hours of commitment, creativity and critical thinking, and we warmly congratulate each student—and the teachers who supported them—on this recognition at a statewide level.
