Highlight
Hello Foundation Families,
This week in Literacy we have practised retelling stories using the '5 Finger Retell' strategy. This involved identifying the characters, setting, beginning, middle and end. This is an important comprehension startegy as it helps students recall, order, and summarize information to build their understanding of stories. You could practise with your child at home while reading their Take Home Books or Library books.
Another highlight for the week was spending time with our Buddies. Students used their strengths of creativty, teamwork and perseverance to design and create their own 'Cat in the Hat' hats. It was wonderful to see so many different and unique designs.
Kind Regards,
Tegan, Emma and Ash
