Independence Centre

Highlight
Hello Independence Centre families! We had such an incredible time dressing up in our cultural colours/clothes last Friday for Harmony Day (see some photos below)!
This week we have had a very busy and exciting week in 3/4! We participated in a Guided Inquiry Immersion day, exploring our new topic for next Term which is Civics and Citizenship. We learned about laws, rules and different groups that we are a part of in the community!
Students have also been busy with our Year 4 GALA Day and Year 3 sports/team-building activities at school. The Year 3's also had the chance to meet some Hawthorn AFL players during a school visit Q&A session. This week also involved planning day which included many fun activities planned by the specialists as well as our buddies session!
In English, we have been looking at our Term 1 Reflections and in Maths we have also completed some Place-Value post assessments. We can’t wait for you to see the reflections on SeeSaw soon.
Have a wonderful week,
Kathy, Ros, Julia, Mandy, Fatima and Suzie.
