OSHCLUB News

As we near the end of the term, Week 9 at OSHClub has been filled with creativity, delicious treats, and hands-on activities! Here’s a look at what we got up to this week:

Our little chefs had a fantastic time making and decorating cupcakes! From mixing the batter to choosing their favorite toppings, the children enjoyed every step of the baking process. Not only did they get to practice their kitchen skills, but they also shared their tasty creations with friends.

Imagination came to life as the children sculpted their own clay masterpieces. This activity helped develop fine motor skills while allowing everyone to express their creativity.

Continuing our focus on healthy eating, the children prepared fresh and colorful rice paper rolls. They enjoyed selecting their ingredients, rolling them up, and, of course, tasting their delicious and nutritious creations. It was a great way to introduce new flavors and textures in a fun, hands-on way.

As we move into the final week of term, we have more exciting activities planned. Stay tuned for updates!

Upcoming holidays

We’re gearing up for an exciting Easter Holiday Program , and we can’t wait to share all the fun we have planned! This holiday, our theme is GAME ZONE, where children will build, create, and play through a range of interactive and hands-on activities!

Some of the exciting experiences coming up include:

  • Monopoly Dreams Melbourne - Excursion!
  • Build Your Own Mini Dog Robot
  • Whip Up Some Delicious Treats
  • Jungle Marble Run

Family Suggestions

At OSHClub, we deeply value our families and community and would love to incorporate more family voices into our program. Whether it's a cherished family recipe we can cook together, a creative art activity, or any other idea, we would greatly appreciate your input!

Feel free to share your suggestions in our journal, located in the parent sign-in area, and we’ll do our best to bring them to life. Your contributions help make our program even more special!

Sun Smart Policy

As the weather warms up, our afternoon program begins to move outdoors more often.  As school hats generally need to be kept in classroom tubs, please make sure your child has a spare sun smart hat for OSHClub in their school bag. We have Cancer Council and Coles sunscreen on hand but children are welcome to bring their own if they wish. Hats and sunscreen will be worn when the UV rating is at 3 or above.

Drop off/Pick up

Parents/ guardians are required to sign children in for Rise and Shine sessions and sign children out of Stay and Play sessions using the service iPad. Please ensure you are coming to the room when dropping your children to Rise then Shine or holiday program. Please do not let them walk by themselves.

Bookings

Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.

If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.

Cancellation of Bookings

IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.

We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.

As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!

Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
