Principal's Update
Dear Parents and Carers,
Father’s Day
This Sunday we say happy Father’s Day to all our dads, stepdads, grandfathers and father figures in our lives. It is also a day to remember and treasure the memories of the fathers who are no longer with us. A big thank you to Lauren and Kathryn in the office and our wonderful LSOs who organised and prepared the gifts for tomorrow’s stall.
God took the strength of a mountain, the majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun, the calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature, the comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages, the power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring, the faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity, the depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities.
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew his masterpiece was complete,
And so, he called it ... Dad
Please see the link below for a special report on Father’s Day from our School TV site. There is a great short video by Dr. Michael Carr-Gregg that I encourage all parents/carers to watch.

Eucharist and Confirmation
On Saturday evening, Sunday morning and Tuesday night some of our children in Grades 3, 5 and 6 received the sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. I attended the Saturday evening celebration and I would like to congratulate the children and thank them for the prayerful way in which they conducted themselves throughout the ceremony. A big thank you to Fr. Michael for assisting and guiding the children in their preparation and making the celebration such a memorable one for all the children and their families and to Mandy Parker for coordinating the program. Thanks also to our hard working REL, Jayne Brumby and classroom teachers for all their hard work in preparing the children for this important time in their lives.
Condolences to Janelle and Family
Our condolences go out to our Grade 6 LSO, Janelle Holt and her family. Janelle’s beautiful mum, Bernadette, passed away last week and the funeral was held yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Janelle’s family during this difficult time.
Welcome Back Judy
This week we welcome back Judy Carr who has been on LSL for the past 6 weeks travelling around Europe with her daughter. Judy had a wonderful experience and is now refreshed and ready to be back at work for the remainder of the term.
Hats
In line with our Sun Smart policy, it is that time of the year where children are to start wearing hats. I ask that all children bring their hats to school clearly named.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
