F-1 Buzzing with Bee Bots Robots: Digital Technologies

Years F-1 students had fun with Mrs Tucker learning the basics of programming with the Bee Bot floor robots. Students enjoyed sharing their solutions with each other with the coding challenge. In this lesson student followed and describe a series of steps to program the Bee Bot floor robots. 

Year F-1 and 5/6 Stem: Marshmallow and Spaghetti Challenge

In this challenge Years F-1 students worked in groups of four with a 5/6 student as leaders to collaborate and build the tallest free-standing tower out of strands of uncooked spaghetti held together at junctions with marshmallows. The simple activity encouraged the teams to experience simple but profound lessons in collaboration, innovation and creativity. Students had 20 minutes to finish the challenge The best part about the learning, was eating their mistakes.
