Around the College

Walkathon Fundraising Continues

Students and staff have continued to work diligently on various fundraising activities around the college for the recent Walkathon. Highlights include a Hot Chip Lunch organized by 7D, a cookbook created by 9A, a raffle run by 9D, and a bustling staff market! The Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College community is grateful to everyone involved—thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and generous donations. We will announce the total amount raised soon! Thank you to Edson Letendrie, Learning & Teaching Leader - eLearning, for making this short video to remember and celebrate the day:

Year 11 Retreat

Last week it was our Year 11 retreat at Don Bosco, Safety Beach. With the theme ‘Walking the Same Road,’ students and staff spent three days connecting through learning sessions, meditation, games, dance, and more. It was a fantastic opportunity to build deeper understandings and create lifelong memories.

Here are some key takeaways from our students:

Eleanor: “You never know what someone is going through behind closed doors… always love unconditionally, as you never know what someone is going through.”

Amelia: “We all feel the same way, even if you can’t see it.”

Maeve: “You don’t have to go through life alone… it takes a village to make a difference.”

Tom: “It was great to see that you are not going through anything alone.”
