OSHC Program information

Our team work hard to ensure each program/room has a tailored program that suits the needs and interests of the children attending.

 

Please see below some of the goals and activities currently planned, we also have detailed programs displayed on the entry wall into OSHC.

Wurneet (River) – Junior

Goals  

  • For children to explore the new dramatic play space set up, for all the kids to enjoy the joint area - dramatic play space and steiner.
  • To have more children’s voice within the program. Experiment with the new ideas the kids voted on.
  • To continue to reinstate the acknowledgement to country, for children to learn the acknowledgment without help before term 4.

Intentional teaching 

Paralympics – supporting Australian Olympians and learning about the differences in the Paralympics and athletes.

 

Special Activities

Exploring our new construction area and decorating our room to welcom spring.

 

Bael (GumTree) – Middle

Goals 

  • For children to complete their present for their fathers or for someone special in their lives.
  • For children to learn about the different abilities of the athletes that are seen participating within the Paralympics.
  • For children to see that their ideas and suggestions are being used within the program.

Intentional teaching 

Father’s Day activities and discussing the Paralympics.

 

Special Activities 

Suggested activities from the children, Scratch Art and Home Corner space (suggested from Kiyara and Onalee).

 

Morack (Mountian) – Senior

Goals 

  • For children to create an environment that allows one another to be kind, regularly expressing appreciation for each other.
  • For children to think about gratitude towards their fathers or significant person in their lives.
  • For children to extend and continue on their interests in indoor games including card games (concerned around boys indoor engagement).

Intentional teaching 

Children are discussing Poorneet tadpole Season – Sept/October as well as the Paralympics.

 

Special Activities 

3D art activities and time on the Oval – when safe.

 

Wonthalong  - BSC

Goals 

  • For children to make a special gift for their fathers or for someone special in their lives.
  • For children to continue to learn about the different sports/events in the Olympics and the athletes that are participating in those sports/events.
  • To encourage children to explore the different areas of the program that are not being used as much such as the Steiner and Home Corner areas.

Intentional teaching 

Paralympics is the main focus of discussions and watching.

 

Special Activities 

Karaoke Fridays and mixed paper creations are a hit.

 

 

13th September Curriculum Day - Crazy day

We are providing a full day program of crazy activities, wear your crazy hair and crazy clothes for the day. Please make sure to complete the booking form below.

 

 

Tuesday 17th September – Parent Teacher Interview Day 

Extended After School Care Session 12.50 – 6pm    

Cost $40 per child

 

We will be running an extended After School Care session to support working families during the parent teacher interview afternoon but we only have limited spaces that afternoon.

 

If you chose to collect your child from school at 12.50pm (and notify OSHC below) you will not be charged for the normal after school care fee for that day. 

 

Cancellations MUST be made the week before to have fees deleted - cut off is Tuesday 10th September!

 

Please see the OSHC team or email us and let us know if you would like to delete your booking for that afternoon or you need to keep it.

 

 

September Vacation Care Booking Form

We have planned another great program for the next school holidays, the theme these holidays is video games BUT doesn’t mean we are playing video games each day.

 

We are planning lots of great activities that are based on these games with an electronics day at the start and a trip to Time Zone at the end of the holidays.
