Moorabbin Air Museum Excursion And VARMS: What We Did
On 14th August, we, the Aviation students, visited Moorabbin Museum, which has a collection of important and historical aircraft. We travelled by train and bus to get there. Although the journey was a bit tiring, it was definitely worth it to see all the amazing aircraft. After our visit, we went to DFO for lunch and then took the bus and train back to Westall, where we were dismissed.
A few weeks later, on 28th August, we went to VARMS, which stands for the Victorian Association of Radio Model Soaring. We took the bus and learned about how aircraft function and how to build them. Later, there was a demonstration where the plane’s engines were started. Unfortunately, it was too windy that day for a full demonstration, so we didn’t get to see everything. We’ll be going back to VARMS next term to complete the experience.
