Year 6 Leaders

Badge Presentation

Colossians 3 talks about leadership as a calling to show kindness, compassion, patience, humility, gentleness, and forgiveness. A good leader is one who serves others, as Jesus Himself came to serve and not be served.

Each one of these students put themselves forward to become a leader. They wrote, practised, and delivered a speech that highlighted the gifts and talents they could bring to a leadership role. We were very impressed with the way each student presented themselves, often overcoming nerves to speak publicly and for that reason, we honoured ALL of the candidates who put themselves forward for leadership, whether or not they gained a role. We were especially proud of the way they have supported and congratulated each other.

Having a Leadership Presentation is a way of formalising the 2025 roles. Our School and Tribal Leaders will be involved in many tasks throughout the year, attending conferences where they can hone their knowledge and skills, be the ‘face’ of our Primary School, running GTs, greeting visitors, helping our younger students in the playground, assisting with various sporting events, and generally being called upon to serve others.

We look forward to seeing our students further develop their leadership skills throughout the year.
